Get to that point in your running where you realize you are so much stronger than you used to be? It happens to me all the time. Like I’ll run a 2:20 800 in practice, for intervals, and normally have a few more to go then think “That was my time the first 800 I ran as a freshman.” Or when I pr’ed in the 5k, mid 6k this last cross country seaosn, even though I was injured and this course is much hillier, and it’s at altitude. It’s crazy. But I love it. Even more so I love the instant gratification from racing or doing a workout. You want to hit a certain time, you run it, and know within seconds. No waiting or anxiety, just go and run.
