Odd running moment of the year
I did a nice easy run today on the Virginia Tech golf course in a t-shirt and half tights on a nice 50 degree day. This would be totally normal if I wasn’t running through snow.

Genuinely
Feeling like absolute shit after a hard workout is probably the most fulfilling feeling that I have ever experienced.

Real talk
You know you’re running enough when you can look in the mirror and think, even briefly, “Damn why am I not a model?.”

Did you ever...
Get to that point in your running where you realize you are so much stronger than you used to be? It happens to me all the time. Like I’ll run a 2:20 800 in practice, for intervals, and normally have a few more to go then think “That was my time the first 800 I ran as a freshman.” Or when I pr’ed in the 5k, mid 6k this last cross country seaosn, even though I was...

You know the feeling
after you finish a workout and you ran it well? Or after a good week/2 weeks/ month of training? Where you worked hard, and you know you’re getting better? Also, you know the feeling you get after you hit a personal best, or are at least happy with yourself after a race? Well I’ve had the first two recently. Gonna get the third on Friday

Did you ever notice?
How track and love go together? I don’t know about anyone else, but they do for me. Normally success in one will lead to success in the other. Run a race with your significant other watching you. With the most juvenile thought about courting, I want to impress her. No one wants to date the slow guy. These are some examples of what happens when you these instances occur or don’t.

Giving up
So this tumblr is kind of new and people on my old tumblr don’t really know too much about me. I was a pretty good high school runner. Split 49.4 in the 4x4, 1:24.0 in the 600, and IĀ ran 1:56.6 in the open 800. First mile I ever did was 4:37 and I ran 70, 70, 73, 63. Obviously I had no clue what I was doing. But then senior year I got achilles tendonitis in the middle of my cross country...
